Inside Sales Consultant, Piscataway, NJ

Who We Are

Aucta Pharmaceuticals is an emerging product development pharmaceutical company. Aucta is implementing a branded/generic hybrid model, generating both near-term product revenue and mid/long-term investment return. We aim to become a significant specialty pharmaceutical company in the U.S. marketplace integrating R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization. We focus on improved dosage forms for patients with a therapeutic focus in CNS, Ophthalmology, and Inhalation areas. 

Aucta successfully launched its first branded product, Motpoly XR, in the epilepsy space with a targeted sales force in mid-February 2024. We are now expanding our commercial presence in the neurology/epilepsy sector by increasing our field sales territories to 20. Our objective is to enhance our marketing, managed care, and sales capabilities to support future pipeline products in neurology over the coming years.

Position Description

The Inside Sales Consultant is an integral part of the sales team, tasked with developing and managing an assigned territory. You will be responsible for guiding healthcare providers to identify appropriate patients for Aucta products, cultivating business opportunities, building, and fostering customer relationships, and effectively presenting Motpoly XR. You are expected to meet/exceed sales forecasts and goals across the country from inside the corporate office in NJ.

This is a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment, requiring a sense of urgency, hunger to succeed, and an altruistic approach to the business. You will report to the National Business Director. It is required that you successfully complete Aucta Pharmaceuticals product and sales training.

Who you are:

Primary Responsibilities for this Role:

·        Conduct quality sales conversations to all targeted customers and key office staff via phone, video detailing and/or email communication.

·        Schedule and present the video “Lunch and Learns” with key healthcare providers.

·        Adhere to all PHRMA, Compliance, and Regulatory guidelines for promotion.

·        Utilize sales reports to perform effective targeting.

·        Communicate accurate payer coverage of promoted product(s).

·        Meet/Exceed quarterly sales goals within the territory.

·        Maintain an effective call plan to drive HCP interactions. 

·        Leverage sample program, literature, and other collateral assets to ensure physician awareness of Aucta Products.

·        Differentiate products from competitors and respond to customer issues confidently and appropriately.

·        Manage allocated promotional budget for maximum impact.

·        Participate in internal meetings with the broader sales and leadership team.

·        Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications for this Role:

·        BS or BA degree required.

·        2+ years’ pharmaceutical inside sales experience, preferably in the CNS therapeutic area, or field sales experience in the CNS industry with inside sales aptitude.

·        Proven track record of consistent sales success in the pharmaceutical industry.

·        Product launch experience, preferably in the CNS therapeutic area.

·        Demonstrated business acumen.

·        Exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong verbal, interpersonal, and listening abilities.

·        Proficiency in Excel, Word, MS Teams, Salesforce and Outlook.

·        Must be in proximity to Piscataway, NJ. This position is office based five days a week.

·        Must be able to travel and participate at plan of action meetings as needed.

Work Location:

This position is based at our Piscataway, NJ site and will transition to our new Basking Ridge, NJ location in early 2025. It is an office-based role, requiring presence 5 days a week. The selected candidate must be able to commute to both Piscataway and Basking Ridge, NJ

Salary Range

Aucta Pharmaceuticals considers a combination of the candidate’s education, training, experience, location, external market, and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees where you can use your experiences, perspectives, and skills to help make an impact on the lives of others.

Base Salary:  $80,000-$90,000 per year

Bonus Incentive:  Quarterly sales bonus based on attainment
